The Gitana 11, today named Ultim’Emotion is a multihull with a great list of prize winners. She won the Route du Rhum in 2006 and other prestigious races.

A maxi-trimaran of 80 feet

Launched in 2001, the shipyard CDK’s trimaran was lengthened from 60 to 80 feet in 2010 for the famous race, Transat Jacques Vabre. At this time, the whole platform was 90 % renewed 90%. The multihull is considered as up to date.

Faster & Easier to handle

Since her modifications, the boat has got specific aptitudes in the breeze according to the experts. By changing the bottom-hull, she is now able to reach highest speed and to tack faster on weak wind.

A unique ship

This giant of the sea, union of power and lightness, is a technological achievement with a building cost around 5 million of euros (around 6 M of dollars)! Some specialists even call her an authentic “modern work of art”! In 2019 the trimaran will be equipped with brand new North Sails!

: 3rd in the IB Group Challenge, 2nd in the Transat Jacques Vabre (Fréderic Le Peutrec and Yann Guichard in 14 days, 4 hours, 50 minutes and 15 seconds).
 

2004

: 1st Grand Prix of Corsica, 3rd Grand Prix of the Port of Fécamp, 3rd Grand Prix of Marseille Métropole, 5th Grand Prix of Trinité-sur-Mer, 9th of The Transat 2004, Abandon Quebec - Saint Malo.
 

2003

: 2nd of the Transat Jacques Vabre (Jean-Luc Nélias and Loïck Peyron) in 12 days, 22 minutes and 42 seconds (under the name of Belgacom).

2018-2019 season

In 2018, Ultim'Emotion participated in Nice Ultimed, the Tour de Belle-Île, the Tour de l'Île de Groix and the Multihulls Trophy.
 
Other races are planedin 2019 as the Rolex Middle Sea Race, the RORC Transaltantic in Canaries Islands and the Fasnet Race in England. The boat is part of the very exclusive club of maxi-trimaran (greater than 70 feet) like the multihulls Banque Populaire (ex..), Sodebo, IDEC, Macif or Prince de Bretagne.
  • Trophy of Multihulls: winner in Ultim category group 2.
  • Nice UltiMed: winner of the 2 opening regattas (the prologue of the PACA region and the exhibition run) against Francis Joyon's IDEC and Thomas Coville's Sodebo.
